Dear Rocky Point School Community

In response to the County Executive’s mandate to close Suffolk County Schools until Friday, March 27, 2020, the Rocky Point School District is providing you with important information regarding student learning, communication, and free and reduced lunch services that will be provided throughout the closure. Please be assured that we have no confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of the writing of this letter.

In an effort to ensure continuity of student learning, our teachers will be providing work in a variety of ways, including posting to eBoard.  The eBoard link is on the school homepage and can be accessed at .

Communication with your child’s teacher and/or building administrator should be done through eBoard by clicking the envelope icon. In addition, a districtwide communication form will be available beginning Tuesday morning on the school homepage.  Please do not leave voicemails for staff as no one will be in the buildings to access the messages.

For families currently receiving free and reduced lunch, a “grab and go lunch” will be provided daily beginning Tuesday, March 17.  Lunch distribution will be at the Joseph A. Edgar School by the cafeteria door between the hours of 11 AM and 12:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Please remember that it is important to follow the CDC recommendations and practice social distancing.  Families should remind their children to avoid large gatherings.

Additional communications will be sent as new information becomes available.  We hope you and your families stay well through this ever-changing situation.
