Dear Rocky Point School Community,

The following is from the video message sent to the community:

hello rocky point school community! this is scott o’brien, superintendent of schools. on behalf of our school community we miss all of you at the buildings, in our classrooms, and seeing you each and every day. we look forward to being back together as soon possible. we hope you and your families are well and we understand that this transition from school to home has been sudden for all of us and we want to thank you for working together to keep learning continuous for our students during the closures due to covid-19. as the governor announced today, schools will be closed through april 15th. we want to thank our dedicated staff that is working around the clock to shift learning from the traditional classroom into the homes. thank you to all of our support staff, custodians, administrators, food service workers, everyone who is going above and beyond during these unprecedented times. finally, thank you to our families for their patience and unwavering support.

As a reminder our teachers continue to provide work in a variety of ways, including posting to eBoard. The eBoard link is on the school homepage and parents can contact their child’s teacher and/or building administrator by clicking on the envelope icon on the top left of each eBoard.
william威廉希尔 There are resources on our website including a helpdesk for questions that you may have about virtual learning, passwords, the grab and go lunches at JAE, childcare and more. There also is a live phone help desk to support all families and staff during this time. The number is 631-982-4775. The help desk is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to noon and from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Finally, a new Social and Emotional Page on the website has been added with resources for everyone impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, including how to talk to your child about the Coronavirus.

I want to thank our amazing school community who continue to rally together, help each other, and demonstrate Rocky Point PRIDE as a school community. I wish all of you the best, as always.
