Recognizing that teen drug use is an ongoing concern not only in communities throughout the country but locally as well, the Rocky Point School District will host an informative Drug Free Community Forum on Tuesday, April 5, at 7 p.m. in the Rocky Point High School auditorium.
The event will provide the results of a recent survey taken by Rocky Point students and compare those self-reported answers against what their peers are experiencing nationwide. Additionally, attendees will hear from John Venza, vice president of Adolescent Services for OUTREACH, who will provide an eye opening presentation about drug use across Long Island, signs to watch for, where to get help and so much more.  To support the effort, several groups will be on hand to provide reading materials and informative resources to take home.
The district encourages all parents with children in grades K-12 and students in grades 6-12 to attend this program to learn more about this topic including the district students’ report on this matter.
